AGREEMENT TO OUR LEGAL TERMS
We are CtrlAltFix Tech (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a company registered in Trinidad and Tobago at __________, Arouca.
We operate the mobile application Uplift (the “App”), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (the “Legal Terms”) (collectively, the “Services”).
Uplift is a Caribbean based peer-to-peer mental health app where you can find the support you need to manage life’s challenges. You can create a room and connect with up to three other users to discuss what’s on your mind.

These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”), and CtrlAltFix Tech, concerning your access to and use of the Services. You agree that by accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
We will provide you with prior notice of any scheduled changes to the Services you are using. The modified Legal Terms will become effective upon posting or notifying you by info@ctrlaltfixtech.com, as stated in the email message. By continuing to use the Services after the effective date of any changes, you agree to be bound by the modified terms.
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Services.
We recommend that you print a copy of these Legal Terms for your records.
By downloading, accessing, or using the Uplift : Be Kind To Your Mind (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the App.
a. Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, please refrain from using the App.
b. Account Information: Users are required to sign up using a valid email address. You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information during the registration process. Safeguard your account login credentials and notify us immediately if there is any unauthorized use or security breach.
c. Appropriate Use: Users must use the App responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use, and users shall not engage in any unlawful, abusive, or disruptive activities.
a. Data Collection: The App collects and processes personal information, including email addresses, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data.
b. Confidentiality: We prioritize the protection of user data and adhere to industry best practices. While we take reasonable measures to ensure data security, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
a. Ownership: All intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks, associated with the App belong to Uplift or its licensors. Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any content from the App without prior written consent.
b. User Content: Users retain ownership of the content they submit to the App. However, by submitting content, you grant Uplift a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, reproduce, and distribute the content for the purposes of providing and improving the App.
a. The App is provided on an “as is” basis without any warranties or representations, express or implied. Uplift disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of the App.
b. Uplift does not provide professional medical or mental health advice. The App is intended for informational purposes only and should not replace professional diagnosis, treatment, or advice from qualified healthcare providers. Always consult with a healthcare professional for specific medical or mental health concerns.
a. User Conduct: Users are expected to adhere to the Community Guidelines while using the App. These guidelines promote respectful and supportive interactions among users and prohibit any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior.
b. User Content: Users are solely responsible for the content they share within the App. Content that violates the Community Guidelines or infringes upon the rights of others may be removed, and users may be subject to account suspension or termination.
Uplift reserves the right to modify or terminate the App or these terms and conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the App after modifications constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Trinidad and Tobago. Any disputes arising from the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Trinidad and Tobago.
