Memry is a space created to honor, celebrate, and remember people and pets through shared memories. Some Memries are created to celebrate life and ongoing moments. Others are created to remember and honor those who have passed away. Both types are valid, and both deserve care, honesty, and respect.

These Community Guidelines exist to help keep Memry safe, meaningful, and trustworthy for everyone.

By using Memry, you agree to follow these guidelines.

🌱 The Purpose of Memry

Memry exists to preserve meaningful moments and shared stories.

Users come to Memry to celebrate lives, reflect on memories, and honor connections. Whether a Memry is celebratory or memorial in nature, all content and interactions should respect the emotional significance of the space.

Content that exploits grief, misuses trust, or undermines the purpose of remembrance and celebration does not belong on Memry.

🧭 Honesty and Authenticity

Honesty is essential to maintaining trust within the Memry community.

Memries must accurately reflect their intended type and subject.

The following behaviors are not allowed:

Creating a memorial style Memry that falsely claims a real person or pet has died.
Faking or staging the death of someone who is alive.
Misrepresenting a Celebration Memry as a Memorial Memry.
Impersonating family members, loved ones, or caretakers.
Misrepresenting your relationship to the person or pet featured.
Using Memry to deceive others, manipulate emotions, or gain attention through false loss.

Violations involving false deaths or impersonation are considered serious and may result in immediate content removal or account restrictions.

🖼️ Content Standards

All content shared on Memry should be appropriate for a reflective and emotionally sensitive environment.

The following content is not permitted:

Harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive behavior
Sexually explicit or graphic material
Content that promotes violence, self harm, or illegal activity
Misleading, manipulative, or exploitative content
Content intended to shock, provoke, or deliberately distress others

Memry does not verify user generated content and cannot guarantee accuracy. Responsibility for all content rests with the user who posted it.

Some Memries may include links to external websites.

Please be aware that:

External links are added by Memry creators or contributors
Memry is not affiliated with external websites and cannot verify their content
Memry does not endorse external websites or services
Users should only open links if they trust the source
Suspicious or inappropriate links should be reported

Opening external links is always at your own discretion.

👥 Contributors and Shared Memries

Memry creators may invite contributors to help add memories and content.

Contributors are expected to:

Respect the tone, purpose, and type of the Memry
Avoid adding misleading, inappropriate, or harmful content
Respect privacy and emotional boundaries
Honor whether a Memry is celebratory or memorial in nature

Creators are responsible for managing contributor access. Memry may remove contributor privileges or restrict access if these guidelines are violated.

🔒 Privacy and Sensitivity

Memries often contain deeply personal stories and moments.

Users should be mindful to:

Avoid sharing private or identifying information without consent
Be sensitive when discussing illness, trauma, or loss
Respect the privacy of individuals referenced in Memries
Honor the boundaries of private Memries

Protecting dignity and privacy is a shared responsibility.

🚩 Reporting and Community Safety

If you encounter content that violates these guidelines or feels unsafe, misleading, or inappropriate, please report it using the tools available in the app.

Reports help us review situations carefully and take appropriate action to protect the community.

Memry may remove content, restrict features, or limit accounts when necessary.

🛠️ Our Role

Memry provides the platform for user created content but does not actively monitor every Memry or contribution.

We aim to act thoughtfully and responsibly when issues are reported or when clear violations of these guidelines are identified.
