Uplift V2.0.0 Update Now Live

Back in November we kicked off a major redesign of Uplift. V2.0 keeps that momentum going. The new update makes the app cleaner, faster, and easier to use, while also adding some guardrails to keep our community safe.

A sleeker, smoother design

The app feels lighter now. Less clutter, sharper screens, and smoother navigation all around. It’s designed to get out of the way so the focus stays on real conversations.

Opening a room is quicker

We trimmed the steps for starting a support room. Now it only takes a few taps to open one up and start connecting.

Reporting takes less effort

We simplified the reporting process too. It’s quicker and more intuitive, so if you need to flag something, it won’t slow you down.

Safety and balance

Credits were always part of Uplift, but we noticed they didn’t really work the way we hoped. A lot of people saved them for “a rainy day,” which sometimes meant holding back when they actually needed support. That didn’t sit right with us. So we removed the credit system and made Uplift free.

To keep things balanced, there’s now a daily cap on room creation. That way, nobody can flood the app with rooms, but everyone still has the chance to open one when they really need it.

And yeah, we added a profanity filter too. It’s there to block harmful stuff while still letting conversations feel real and natural.

Support tools that fit in

Trigger warnings are still here, helping set the right tone for sensitive topics. And if you need resources outside of Uplift, just type /help in chat to see support options right away.

What’s different now

  • Sleeker design with a lighter, modern feel
  • Fewer steps to open a room
  • Quicker, simpler reporting
  • No credits, just daily room caps to prevent spam
  • Built-in profanity filter for safer conversations
  • Smooth transitions and animations that keep the flow moving

What’s next

This isn’t the finish line. We’ll keep improving Uplift to make it even easier, safer, and more supportive. V2.0 is a big step, but we’re already working on what’s coming next.
